| We've had loads of threads about songs that should've been hits full of posts from listeners and dancers, but I'd love to see this one exclusively devoted to posts from DJs such as yourself about the songs that they played and loved but never became hits. I love "Rhythm of Life"!!! |

| I felt Love Epidemic should have been a monster hit, just like Love Train. Bump Me Baby by Dooley Silverspoon and Love Don't You Go Through No Changes On Me by Sister Sledge. I'll think of more later----------

| According to Vince Aletti's superb, totally essential Disco Files 1973-78 , Love Epidemic, Bump Me Baby and the Sister Sledge track were all massive hits during the early era. The book does not contain any mention of Jean Carn's Time Waits For No-One, though - or at least I did not spot it being listed. I've spinned this tune a few times during the past couple of year to a very good reaction. A classic Philly-style track, smooth and classy and with a memorable hook - why wasn't this a biggie? | At the end of 1980, the entity called, "BABY 'O" released a follow-up to their Latin-NRG smash "In The Forest", from earlier in the year. In addition to Baby 'O Records not having a distribution deal... The A-side was a funky, urban tempo'd track titled, "Dance All Night. (a real snoozer!) The B-side was a 140(ish) bpm, Euro-Disco killer titled, "Your Eyes". (a sound, much like Harlow's "Take Off", meets Cappucino's "Gorgeous Things") Which contains one of the greatest String-breaks & Brass arrangements, of all time! I've always felt that, lack-of accessibility was the reason it didn't catch-on. The only record to mix it with (without slowing it down so much that the horns & strings went flat) was Lime's "Your Love". Which was fairly-well, burning-out by then.
