If your orange vinyl Butterfly 12" is an RCA / Canada pressing of BFEP-9, with: Side A - Fill My Life With Love (6:14) Side B - One More Minute (7:04) Then you're quite lucky! Those are the original mixes, which were never released commercially, anywhere else. Except on the original Canadian pressing of the LP "Belle De Jour". The times are actually: Side A - Fill My Life With Love (5:14) Side B - One More Minute (6:45) And the easiest way to tell is if "One More Minute" starts with the drums & bass (original) or just the drums (remix). MCA picked-up US distribution of Butterfly immediately after the US release of the "Belle De Jour" LP, and that's why some copies state "manufactured and distributed by Butterfly Records" and others state "manufactured and distributed by MCA" To illustrate how MCA came into the picture at the dawn of "Belle De Jour"'s US release... The purple vinyl promo copies of the "Belle De Jour" LP are Butterfly pressings, while the black vinyl promos & the commercial copies were MCA pressings. Also, the promo 12" copy of the remix of "One More Minute" (BFEP-10), is a Butterfly pressing, while the commercial copies were MCA pressings. Rumour has it that there's a couple hundred copies of the purple vinyl US promo LP, containing the original 'A' side mixes that are on the Canadian multi-colored vinyl LP release. But I'll admit I've never actually seen one. Lastly, notice that the covers state "featuring J.P. Vignon" (the guy at the piano on the front cover. And in the hotel room, on the inside gatefold photo) Originally, "Hold Onto Love" was a duet between him and one of the girls. After the remix, the song became a duet between 2 girls, instead. Though they kept him in "When You Are Gone" and "Belle De Jour" as the voice of 'Jean'. Quote:
Side One: 1) Mr. DJ You Know How To Make Me Dance (7:05) 2) No One Can Find Love (7:15) Side Two: 1) Disco Concerto (16:03)

| I'll check when I get home tonight and promise to post pics of the label and disc itself. One of the 12" I grabbed because of who it was by: Alec R Constandinos & The Syncophonic Orchestra - Synergy (single-sided Casablanca 12") because it Constandinos. I grabbed the Madleen Kane - Sounds of Love (LP on Uniwave) because I wasn't familiar with this album at all. I had no idea she had recorded an album between her Cheri and Don't Want To Lose You albums, so this will the first time I've heard this one. One thing I did notice the other night while looking at the Supremes - High Energy album is that I was surprised that I'm Gonna Let My Heart Do The Walking is only 3:33 on the album. I would have thought the album would have included a longer version of the single. I've really grown to love this song and would like to have seen like a 5 or 6 minute version. Anyone up for doing a re-edit?

I got it back in the mid-80's when I discovered a huge store/warehouse in Montreal called Le Marche du Disque. Every album & 12" Unidisc ever put out - were to be found there. At 99 cents a piece - the first time I set foot there - I nearly fainted. I had discovered my Utopia. I've never recovered from the fact that it closed down to make way for a public library.
