First, in 1990 for Hot Classics 8 (5'35"), working from the original LP version. The second time was in 1993, for the Hot Classics CD box set (5'16"), working from the version on the "70's Supremes Greatest Hits" CD. I'll be sure to put it in the first show, when BTM comes back in the fall. Then you'll have it, too.

| Thanks, Stephen, for your great work. Any extra minutes of "Walking" are greatly appreciated by this '70s Supremes fan |

| Okay, I've been meaning to do this for ages now, but better late than never. Here are some links to some pics of the Saint Tropez orange vinyl 12 inch of "Fill My Life With Love/One More Minute". Quote:

| Ah, it's a Canadian pressing. Not the original American pressing, but it's still very cool and collectible. There's a Bob McGilpin 12" from the same Canadian series on green vinyl that I have listed in the Vault.

| I have a UK pressing of One More Minute on a strange yellowish colour vinyl (it was described as "piss colour" in one review at the time). It is backed by Je T'Aime. I never knew how good (and better than One More Minute IMO) Fill My Life With Love was until I played the CD of Remember The Party 2007. toto |

OK Tony - now the question is - Did you buy it for the actual song or the lovely shade of the record ???

| Ok, you got me there, LOL Actually, as I was too young to go to clubs, I bought my purchases then on the basis of the points earned by a title in the Billboard Disco Top 20 printed in Record Mirror, much like the points system used by marky. St Tropez did well and I assumed the best track would be issued as a single in the UK. I had no idea of knowing until many years later and the joys of the internet. Other purchases would be made on the basis of productions by Giorgio, Casablanca Records, Cerrone or Boris Midney. I can't believe I could not find many Costandinos productions apart from Romeo and Juliet and the third Love and Kisses album (double score there - Casablanca and Costandinos!) at the time. toto |

| I got the "Die Unsichtbare Visier" album, a compliation of themes and incidental music from a crime tv show broadcast in the DDR from 1973 until 1978. Judging by the sleeve art ( check www.jussikantonen.com ) and the mutated Shaft-influenced disco sounds, must have been quite a show. |

| Ahhh but if I understood Stephen's original post correctly, the Canadian pressing is of more interest than the American pressing, which he also implies came after the Canadian pressing. RCA first, MCA second.

| Not that it means anything, but I have a copy of that very St. Tropez 12" up for sale right now on eBay, and it hasn't even hit the minimum bid of $8 yet. I've found in the past that Butterfly stuff (whether 12"s or LPs) doesn't really sell well. Last edited by tmob; July 21st, 2009 at 02:34 PM. Reason: Typo. Bad boy! Bad boy! |
