Looking for some songs similar in sound to...

Hi, this is my first post :) I have a question and I'm hoping someone can answer it. I hope I will not be made fun of for it but two of my favorite songs from the Disco era are "Ready for the 80s" and "Can't Stop the Music" by the Village People. I was just wondering if there are any songs out there that have a similar sound or style like those two songs that I might enjoy? Maybe even "sequels" to those songs so to speak that came later from the Village People themselves? I've heard a lot of Disco stuff but I know I've probably only heard a small fraction of all the disco songs that have ever been produced so I wouldn't be surprised if there's a few songs out there like those two. Thank you for any answers anyone can provide :)

You can for instance search for The Ritchie Family and especially all the Morali/Belolo productions since they have made a lot of that stuff!

Thank you! I'll try searching through those..I think Morali was a very talented composer so I'll go through and see if there's any of his stuff I may not have heard yet and look through the Ritchie Family stuff too. Thank you again

Personnally I'm not a big fan of Morali/Belolo productions but if you find them at low prices you won't be too disappointed. The Franco-Italian production team of Jacques Fred Petrus/Mauro Malavasi did good albums for Macho, Revanche and Peter Jacques Band.

1979 album "TJM" by Tom Moulton is excellent (but with a falsetto voice).

I would say three albums produced by Morali/Belolo in 1979 sound like VP's and they are not bad: Patrick Juvet's "Lady night", Ritchie Family's "Bad reputation" and Dennis Parker's "Like an eagle".

A 1978 album by Gypsy Lane ("Predictions") is more or less the same thing:
