Default One For The Car

I've been quite busy setting up some cassette decks for my real-time copying business and was interested to see how they were fairing. So, I decided to drag out some tracks from CD and copy them to cassette for the car. Here's one of the tapes I made. Nothing too drastic, just a lot of grooves to bop along to and keep the boredom, that is city driving nowadays, on the back burner. I kept things really commercial, just so my wife can enjoy it too (maybe).

You Can Do It - Al Hudson & The Soul Partners
Back In Love Again - LTD
For The Love Of Money - O Jays
Controversy - Prince
Right In The Socket - Shalamar
1000 Finger Man - Candido
La Botella (The Bottle) - Joe Bataan
In The Forest - Baby O
Give Me Love - Cerrone
Keep On Jumpin' - Musique
Don't Let Go - Isaac Hayes
Shake Your Groove Thing - Peaches & Herb
Super Freak - Rick James
Whip It - Dazz Band
Shake Your Pants - Cameo
You're The One For Me - D Train
Livin' It Up (Friday night) - Bell & James
Get Down saturday Night - Oliver Cheatham

There's 2 tunes that I didn't play back in the day, and surprise, surprise, I'm actually prepared to give them a partial thumbs up and admit that I should have bought 'em back then. Otherwise, the rest give me a warm glow, especially Al Hudson, LTD and Bell & James.
Anyone care to hazzard a guess which two were never on my playlist?

I'm very surprised that you'd include Cerrone, so that's gotta be one. The other I'm not so sure of... I'm thinking "Keep On Jumpin'" because it was a mainstream hit, but then again, this was more like one of those rare situations where an underground song becomes a mainstream hit.

Right In The Socket - Shalamar
Livin' It Up (Friday night) - Bell & James

Quinny,
my guess would definetely be Don't Let Go by Isaac Hayes. Everybody I know think that track is "just too much.."
I like it however

Well done Graham, you must read more of my posts than the rest. You have got one of them in Cerrone - Give Me love.

It would have to be "For The Love Of Money" by the O'Jays.

Anyhow, I've recently done a cassette compilation for my car as well. These include:

2 - Graham Central Station - POW 1978
3 - Junie - Granny's Funky Rolls Royce 1975
4 - Kay Gees - Kay Gees Theme 1976
5 - The Whispers - One For The Money 1976
6 - Rolling Stones - Hot Stuff 1976
7 - Banbarra - Shack Up 1975
8 - Funk track 17 the computer game "Interstate '76

Side B:
1 - Bar-Kays - Son Of Shaft 1972 (Wattstax live version)
2 - Bobby Sax & The New Messiah - Outhouse '73 1973
3 - Dynamic Corvettes - Funky Music Is The Thing Pt 2 1974
4 - Glitter Band - Makes You Blind 1975
5 - Kay Gees - Hustle With Every Muscle 1975
6 - Rufus & Chaka Khan - Once You Get Started 1974
7 - Parliament - What Comes Funky 1975
