Now our local news stations are saying he arrived at UCLA in a deep coma and has now been declared dead.

CNN now says he's in a coma.

LA Times has now said he is dead....according to city and law enforcement authorities--not the hospital.

CBS News is reporting that he was declared dead some time after being admitted to hospital. I was wondering at first if this was all a publicity stunt because of his history with the tabloids, but now it appears to be true. I hope he finds true peace of mind wherever he is. It seems like he was a tortured soul here on Earth.

His life defined the term: An American Tragedy. So talented/so misguided. Or so misunderstood? I don't know what the truth was...will we ever know for sure? But during the formative stages of his career--he was unbeatable. Superstar fame destroyed him. Very sad day indeed.

CNN hasn't at this moment confirmed their own sources, but they are now passing along the L.A. Times announcement that he has died.

I don't want to believe it, but the worst seems true.
