| Does anybody know anything about the songwriter and producer team Sebastians? A pseudonym site states their real names as Evelyne and André Andrians. As Lana Grey, Evelyne seemed to have performed on the soundtrack of a French film "Malaise" already during the mid sixties. So what we have been dealing with is people like Costandinos who prior to disco did all sorts of musical deals in all sorts of fields. Names associated with the team include Theo Vaness, Madleen Kane, Leonore O'Malley, Dalida and Pacific Blue ( with Argentina Forever 12", a curious midtempo Midney soundalike of sorts). I for one would love to know if there are more and I bet there are. The Sebastians output had a disctinct, moody and dramatic feel to it, and they were apparently based in Paris though Madleen Kane's 1980 album - with "Cherchez Pas" and the far better "Boogie Talk" - was recorded in America. |
