A couple classics:

I shoulda changed that stupid lock
I shoulda made you leave your key
If I'd a known for just one second
you'd be back to bother me -- I Will Survive

Cuz when the guitar player starts playin' with the syncopated rhythm with the scratch, scratch, scratch
makes me wanna move my body, yeah, yeah, yeah
And when the drummer starts beatin' that beat beatin' out that beat with the syncopated rhythm
with the rat tat tat tat tat tat on the drum, heeeyy!! -- Turn The Beat Around

Possibly, one of the most pointedly-direct verses I've ever heard, in a Disco song:

You get a tune in the movies
And go to Platinum, and back
And they get to keep the returns and awards
With some off-Broadway hack

They say there all going to sell-out
But they buy-back, instead
It got me so crazy
I needed a job, just to buy-back my head

hmmm... can you say "bitter"?

Was that Rick Dees' follow-up to "Disco Duck"? (after the song was used in Saturday Night Fever but not put on the soundtrack album)

One of my all-time favorites from Kid Creole:

Oh Annie
I'm not your daddy
cause if I was in your blood
then you wouldn't be so ugly

Thank you!
Finally, I don't feel like I'm the only person who remembers that line!

Yes, Webb wrote that part. I believe it was in the Richard Harris version.

I'm just a working girl
Just earning a living
When the city is waking up
I'm going home

You try to love everybody
and everyone you can
You're the typical man
But still I love you
I'm at your beck and call
When you need me, yes indeed

Take off your shoes and stay awhile
Just hang loose; I like your style

What good does it do to hide
The hurting that I'm feeling
Since you're no longer sleeping by my side
It may be too late to show
But just in case you're wondering
I need you so

Make romance when you dance

You can run away from me
But you'll never get away from you

When we're out there dancing on the floor darling
And I feel like I need some more
And I feel your body close to mine
And I know my love it's about that time

following Salsoul1975's lead: for everyone who worked their way thru Disco...

working that midnight shift
while all my friends are out
they've all gone out dancing
they're out having fun...

this one's cause I've been though it...

you created this fire, but the flame got too hot (<---love that line!)
you turned and walked away, just leavin' me, on-the-spot

there's little hope for the fool that I am
still holdin' on to this dream of a Man
but the taste of his skin
the very touch of his hand
is worth waiting for
so I must understand

that you run
you just won't show love
that's the thing you're frightened of...

and this is exactly how it felt...

it opened-up my eyes, I read between the lines
but how was I to know, this passion from his soul
was never meant for me

it took the wind from my sails
the stars from my eyes
my pride and dignity
it took the breath from my body
the beat from my heart
how could he do this to me?

it took the sun from the sky
the moon from the night
and everything I once believed
it took the breath from my body
the beat from my heart
how could he do this to me?

Oh yeah... There were nights I danced my heart out.

Oh...baby it's been so long
I've...I've waited so long
And now that I have you
I want you to come

Outside my door
There's a candy store
Filled with sweetness in life
So very nice

Late night flight
LAX
Limousine and you're all set

C'mon babe
Don't just sit there
Come and dance with me
The night is still young
And dancing with you would be so much fun
Especially when we're together in each other's arms

Touchin' her skin
Feelin' silky smooth
Color of cafe au lait
Made the savage beast inside roar until it cried
More...more...more
Now he's back home workin' nine-to-five
Livin' his grey flannel life
But when he turns back to sleep
Oh...memories creep
