 A Donna Summer Question Was there ever a 12" single out there, promo or commercial, of Donna Summer's, "Theme from The Deep (Down Deep Inside)"? I seem to remember some friends of mine getting it on blue vinyl with vocal and instrumental. Am I dreaming? I've seen the John Barry soundtrack album available on blue vinyl and a ton of Casablanca 7" singles, but no 12". Help end the anguish :( . I could be looking for something that doesn't exist.

| Nicky, I found a 12" of "The Deep" at Amoeba. Don't think it had vocal/instrumental versions; Seems like it had one of her LP cuts on the flip side or maybe there was no flip, seeing it was Casablanca!!!! I'll look tonight, if no one gives a definitive answer.

| "Theme from The Deep" is included in a one sided Casablanca 12", together with "I feel love" (NBD 20104 from 1977). I have it on black vinyl. If memory serves me correctly only the LPs were on blue wax |

| Interestingly enough, that song was the "More" on Donna's "Live and More", CD version. On the LP it's "MacArthurPark Suite" but for time reasons they replaced it with a shorter song on the CD. Didn't like that but "Deep Down Inside" is a good track. I like the music to it and during the moan interludes I can picture being underwater with the sunlight shining brightly on top as I wander through the depths of the ocean blue... :D

| Thanks, guys. I know I never had the lp but I did have the song. So, assuming Giovanni is correct (we know he is :) ), that means my "I Feel Love" 12" has flown. Lately it's become quite clear why my lover didn't like me lending my music out. :x

| giovanni is spot on nicky i also have that same promo,i cant recall deep being on 12" in england [?] could it be that the promo is the only way to have it on 12" ????? |

| Yes i'm only aware of the 7" too. I always wanted there to be an extended version of this track as its one of her best IMO. (I do know though that 12"ers aren't necessarily extended versions every time!)
