DJ Jesse.... try to be more specific on what you are inquiring about... Some of us might interpid what you are saying as "The Sunshine Sound" meaning records from Miami (TK Record) labels as a whole... or just that particular label.

Sorry. "Free Man" by South Shore Commission. Written by Bunny Sigler and Ronnie Tyson. Wand label (Scepter), 1975. Pure Philly soul.

a truly glorious record and a fine tom moulton mix. as far as i know, the only official release was on francois k's wave classics label a few years back. it is on a couple of compilations i think, which are well worth buying for that track alone.

1975 sounds pretty early for a 12"? Was it on an LP or 7" 45? If so I assume the LP or 7" would be extremely rare as well...

I just found their album recently. It has the tom Moulton mix of "Free Man" and "Train called Freedom". It was rather cheap. I guess it may not be very rare.

I mean, it must be still hard to find. The only reason I found it for so cheap was because it was in a bunch of records some DJ had given away to a local thrift store. I found a bunch of cool stuff for really cheap.

By the way does anyone know if Spanish version of Barry Manilow's "Copacabana" 12" is harder to find than the version with "Somewhere in the Night" on side B?

In my experience the spanish version is easier to find.
BUT my english version is a one sided promo 12" (Arista SP 18).
Which press is the one with "somewhere in the night" on B side?

Does anyone know if a 12" extended version of "Lowrider" by War exists? If so, how does this compare with the shorter version? How long is it?

I don't understand why they don't just repress the old stuff. Especially since the crap they make today sucks.
