| Hi fellas, I couldnt resist to this topic, I'm a big fan of horn sections!! My fave brass work in a song is on 'LET'S GROOVE' by Earth, Wind & Fire. There are many other tracks that deserves a mention: Brass Construction - Movin Kool & The Gang - Jungle Boogie, Open Sesame. Crown Heights Affair - Far Out and the obscure 'BAYOU' by Love Unlimited Orchestra. Due obvious reasons I wont put the other hundred of tracks that I like........... Peace. P.S. Nice topic!!!! :)

| I don't know how many of you know this track but "Shine A Light" from Jennifer Holiday's debut album (1983) has a great brass arrangement. Another well produced track by Maurice White. "Bayou" gets my vote too. |

| Too many to name....... but Exit 9 "Straight up" from 1975...... no words needed!!! A terrific brass orchestration is also in a quite obscure later release by the group SILVER PLATINUM titled "Dance" |

| I always thought Rick James' 'Give It To Me Baby' had a really kick ass terrific horn section. I remember really giving an ex DJ colleague a hard time when he took me to a Disco in '88 (about a year and a bit after I'd given up and when House/Garage was firmly established in the UK). We were stood on the balcony watching the DJ and generally discussing the music. In a semi drunken state all I could say was "yeah, but where's the brass licks like in Give It To Me Baby or the Players Association stuff?" I've somewhat tempered my opinions since then. :D |

| Let's not forget the classic brass riffs in the disco classic "Born To Be Alive"
