Thumbs up

You're welcome !
I think you can make a request with your eBay-account when you're looking for specific titles in certain conditions.
I believe you get notified by the eBay-mail service when your specific request is available.
I personally never used that option, but you could mail their service what's it all about.

GoodLuck !

Really?? Are you sure? How could that be done, unless someone does the research for me?
Because otherwise it would mean that there is a separate entry for condition of sleeve, record, title, artist of any listing, and we all know that there isn't, and even the few that are there, are never used, that's what makes searching for records on ebay a real pain, especially when you have same titled albums, or words that can be typed in different ways etc etc.
I'm just happy I have all the albums and if I'll find the other two fine, otherwise, I won't mind too much.
I had the most pain to complete a Dolly Parton discography for her albums in two months, all in at least Excellent collection :)

I believe your search-request gets automatically linked to the moment whenever that specific item appears on eBay.
A collector which i know once got hold on a very rare record thanks to that request-option

I may have been too soon about requesting the condition of the record, but most sellers indicate how the record-condition is.
When you would like to be really shure if the condition is mint, then you could always request if the seller can send you a snapshot from the item.

Yeah, always a thrill to get a collection from an artist complete.
I must say that with internet and the possibility to e-mail sellers, it has become much easier to find records in a perfect condition

Ah, but that's just for what the seller decides to write in the title, and as you might know, few sellers are that diligent.

Ah ok, I thought all your post was about the automated search you mentioned, now I see you are talking about normal search and listing.
Yes, not every seller grades records very well, and the visual grading is seldom a good indication, not to mention those who aren't cooperative or just plain ignore you. I have emailed twice two sellers of the Melba Moore Burn LP because the description and picture were not conclusive, and ignored me.

Oh I know, I can't even imagine how it would be without it. I've never been to a record fair, there aren't any near here.
However, as with all innovations there come a downsides, the downfall of the music industry :(

I've visited them often a few years back, but it has become lesser since internet.
And indeed, with some sellers it can be less.
I discovered last week that a seller copied a piece of text which i posted as guest on someone's blog.
It was about a rare album, and i mailed the seller to thank him for using my info and that the internet can be a small world, lol.
I mean, there's no copyright or something on that text, but a simple answer back wouldn't hurt ... oh well

Oh ya, true true.
I've read countless forumtopics about that online through the years

Oh, I haven't really, it's the impression I get and one doesn't need to be a genius to see what's happening.
I am glad that places like Perfect Beat exist, who ask companies for special pressings on cds, and that some artists still do vinyls :)))
