Default Ann Margret/What I Do To Men

Just got a copy of this tune via a delightful blog, and so excited to have it. Not sure, but it sounds really slow in tempo-I am worried that it's pitched down slightly. If anyone owns a copy on 12", how should it sound? Ann's vocals are clear, but the tempo is a shuffle versus a bump-if that makes sense.

The only reason is that I also got Midnight Message as well, and I KNOW it's been pitched down and the dude had a comment on the blog saying that MM was pitched down.

I could care less about WITTM as the song is so killer. I am going to have bump the Ann Margret LP up on my list of MUST haves.

Yes, this Ann-Margret album is a MUST have! What I Do To Men and Midnight Message are not fast tempo songs. But Love Rush is, if that's what you're looking for. I was very happy when this was released on CD, although I wish it had her other Sabu produced tracks included as bonus tracks. Instead, they released both of them on a CD single (which seems strange since the album isn't very long in the first place). I have heard that there were several other Sabu produced tracks Ann-Margret recorded that have never been released, including a song titled "Black Cat".

Thanks so much for the info. I suppose I was worried, as someone had posted onto the blog I found the cuts on that the track had been pitched down. If you say both have a slower tempo, then I'll take that as the gospel.

I wish I had jumped on the Ann CD when Get Disconnected was still printing copies!

I think I'd rather get mine on vinyl though

The 12" of "Love Rush" E-Minor, was on Sabu's previous label, Ocean/Ariola.
The promo is OR7511 and has the long instrumental on the b-side
The commercial is OR8911 and has the (beautiful!) ballad "For You" C-Major, on the b-side.
