| ****** Not expecting much word of reply on this one : But I am curious about it . Can't find an ounce of information about it. Lou Goyetta ??? Surprisingly variable , yet cohesive rather pretty disco. Biggest mistake --- the tongue in chic CHIC reference . Bad pun repeated much too much ... the instrumental side takes care of much of that ...but not enough ..... But get past that ...and ..... Despite the title , the music itself is not Chic-ish ..... sweet female vocals sound more like Teri DeSario and the song in parts makes me want to mix with PARTY BOYS by Foxy Strings .... organ, trumpet ( at times mariachi like ) ... funky bass line ... rollicking guitar ... Doesn't seem like a throwaway project ..... ***** notice the misprinted type instructions under Bobby DJ Guttardo

| Here's what I dug-up, from the information flyer for DiscoNet: Volume 2, Number 1 (1978) Get Your Chic Together / Class. Here is a very smooth and exceptionally well done song, written by ***Ginger Hendricks who co-produced with Lou Goyette. Bob Clearmountain engineered at the Power Station in NY, and Bobby DJ did the mix. Lou knows the dance floor quite well… he's had one of the New York area's most respected mobile disco operations for several years, and offers his clients an exceptionally wide variety of music. **All I could find, musically, on Ginger Hendricks, is a woman who, with her husband Jim, recorded a lot of Christian Faith music in the 80's. And her son "Jimmy" (born in 1978) has some Christian Rock releases. And this, from the information flyer for DiscoNet: Volume 4, Program 12 (1982) In addition to rapping with Sylvia on Bonus Side 1, Casey Jones knows how to string songs together. He plays at The River Club in New York and will be heading up The Ice Palace on Fire Island this summer (joined by Lou Goyette.) So, it seems Lou Goyette was a long-time, well-respected NY DJ, who took it to the next step, by producing.

And the musicians ....who are CLASS ??? Who is it singing?? All very well done .... Also surprising that a long time DJ would call in another DJ to create a final mix of his own creation ... Ah yes the untold stories ...... *****
