It's for others to decide your brand of humour.....and it's more on the dead side. And speaking of SUBJUGATE, didn't you write this? quote=QUINNY Whatever you do and whoever you go with, DON'T go down the CD duplication (i.e. CD-R) route, I beg you. http://www.discomusic.com/forums/vin...plication.html "I beg you"? Tsk.Tsk. How sad. Reputation is based on how others see you. Not how you see yourself. |

But if you expose kids to what you enjoy, sharing your musical world with enthusiasm with them, you're actually enrichening them musically. They'll still probably hang out with their friends, listening to HSM, Britney, Shakira, and other current talentless copycat hitmakers (that's all part of what it takes for them to find their place in a group, and ultimately in society); but they'll also have other quality forms of music taking part in their musical world, that'll probably accompany them throughout their lives. I know I never really got into most of the folk stuff my parents listened to: I still hate "Guantanamera", and most of Pete Seeger's material; but I've loved the Beatles from the start, and some other bands my parents played records of at home. Thankfully, I was exposed to different types of music, including Opera, most of which I would have had no access to outside of my home, and picked what I liked out of what was available. Thankfully!!! Quote:
To get back to the topic, there's few totally instrumental tracks I like, because I always enjoy a repeating female chorus (or male, sometimes). But still, here's a few instrumentals (or semi-) I find to be killers: -Frankie Crocker: "Poinciana" -Crown Heights Affair: "Dreaming a Dream" (disco version) -Corniche: "CHiPs theme" (12") .

| That's fair. So allow me to add to the topic. The Chase - Giorgio Moroder Magic Bird of Fire - The Salsoul Orchestra Beyond The Clouds - Quartz Cuba (instrumental) - The Gibson Brothers Machine Gun - The Commodores Outta Space - Billy Preston Joy - Apollo 100 Megatron Man - Patrick Cowley (along with other stuff by him) The two Voyage lps that are labeled Special Instrumental and are instrumental versions of songs mostly from their first two lps. And my favorite, Vertigo by Dan Hartman. I used this song when I competed for Dance Fever. Made it to the finals in South Florida, but not the show. Joy - Apollo 100 Last edited by needlefingers; April 9th, 2008 at 06:31 AM. |
