Smile Skatt Brothers "Walk the night" new remix

.. Chicago's premier disco devotee DJ Raahan has released a limited 4-track 12" EP of re-edits & remixes .. which includes this nice new remix of the Skatt Brothers "Walk the night" .. I'm ashamed to admit I don't know the other 3 tracks .. although I suspect one of them is the Two Tons of Fun .. listen to the sound-clips on Juno:
http://www.juno.co.uk/ppps/products/304627-01.htm

.. can anybody name the other 3 tunes? .. they all sound very good ..

.. track 2 is most certainly a remix of Two Tons O' Fun "Make someone feel happy today" ..

.. but what are the other 2 tracks? .. they sound superb .. can anyone help?

.. yes, of course, I've got it .. the clues are in the titles .. that last cut "Memories" is a remix of Eddie Kendricks "Thanks for the memories" .. I'd better post this on a new thread as the philly fans won't be reading anything called "Skatt Brothers"

.. by the way, I'm sure I read somewhere the Skatt Brothers were Canada's heterosexual answer to the Village People ..

Not all of the Village People were gay. The Skatt Bros., on the other hand... come on, what kind of straight guys would write a song like "Walk The Night"?

Someone (I think it was JOL) told me that the sleeve pics were taken at a Toronto gay bar. In even stranger twist of fate, a music technology store now occupies the space, one where I've bought loads of software and gear...

hehe....having the Skatt Brothers album in my collection was like a little piece of hidden heaven when I was 18! Each song had its own unique bit of pleasure and implication. Midnight Companion was especially satisfying.

If memory serves me correct I think only a few of the members of the Skatt Brothers were gay like not all the VP's were gay.

No, it was the VP who were not all gay.

Victor Willis and Ray Simpson are both straight.

Graham,
Yes the album cover was the inside of Dudes in Toronto. We used to call it the s & m bar. (stand and model).

Some of you may have heard the version of Walk the Night made by the Bent Brothers (no joke) on Matra records.

No, the producer is not Ben Dover but John Brenner.

When I heard it for the first time, I was a reluctant to find it any qualities but after a few listening tries I think that it is not too bad of a re-edit after all.

Sample Here

Make your own opinion...

I was under the impression the back cover by the pin ball machine was taken in LA at Griff's on Melrose accross from Paramount Studios.

I wonder who's right. I remember the owner of Dudes talking about the day they shot the back cover at the bar.

Another good remix of Walk The Night is here:

DIVIDED SOULS - The Walk

Somewhat harder, but still nice!

None of the other vocals are present... just that line.
