Intro:
Blogs and Music pages are a fantastic new tools to get to know artists and music that would otherwise remain obscure or unknown.
I would like to start a new topic and tell you a little bit about my recent findings:
Jennifer : Do it for me
Do It For Me was a French production released on Gerard Tournier Label in March 1976. Arranged and produced by Michel Deloir it was written by J. Denis Prez and it reached number 33 in the US Disco Action in April 1977.
It’s a typical European production with a galloping rhythm and Jennifer’s adequate voice singing and moaning according to the fashion of the time.
It was a huge success in France and Italy where Jennifer was invited on several TV programme of which you could find few clips on YouTube.
Little is known about the artist who released “Love has a Taste of Tears” in the same year. According to the information I found she is married to the French actor Gerard Lanvin and has two children. She was also in two French films, “Psy” (1981) and “Moi Vouloir toi” (1981). She now owns a bar in La Baule, France.
