Question unknown disco artist called ZOOM

Hi,

I have 2 songs in 2 diferent "Acme" compilation 12" LPs

the artist or group name its called: ZOOM
one of the 12" LP compillations comes with: another cha cha - santa esmeralda, Pop Musik - M, David Naughton, Mouilin Rouge, Zoom, Tragedy- TheBeeGees, I will survive - Gloria Gaynor, the other songs are spanish artists with regional music, folkclore...,

The sound its not the best as it should be...
The Audio engeneer did something i dont like to all songs in that LP, for example comparing A/B santa esmeralda another cha-cha or the beegees tragedy or i will survive
they all sound like they have a grey/brown veil, like a bit saturated tape master with an slow tape speed master 1/4" and/or over used/wornout tape

anyway...
Zoom - Flying High its a nice underground disco song, i rate it 8outof1O compared to similar vibe songs like::
Hott City - Aint Love Grand / Feelin' Love 9
Michael Zager Band - Love Express, 9
Empress - Dying to Be Dancing 1O
so you know what i mean by 8outof1O

cant remember the other Zoom song name, i think it was something with or like : Zoom - Witch
not that good but nice...

i was wondering if some one knows more about it, could be a printing error in both 12" LPs?
the 12" LP says:
FLYING HIGH (C. Ricanek/R.W.Palmer/James) Zoom
1980
im missing something ?
Thanks

Default Re: unknown disco artist called ZOOM

Hola, Juan Pablo!

Zoom was a Spanish group, actually it was a ballet that worked in some tv programs and recorded an album where Fernando Arbex from Barrabás was involved. You can see them introducing themselves, it was a multiracial group: YouTube - Ballet Zoom

Their greatest hit was "Salem Witch" or "La Bruja de Salem" as they used to translate titles here, though it was sang in English. "Flying High" was another single.

These are the covers of the singles, "Salem Witch": zoom,la bruja de salem, del 78 - Música - Discos - Singles Vinilo - Grupos Españoles de los 70 y 80 - EN VENTA DIRECTA - TodoColeccion

And "Flying High": SINGLE 1979.......ZOOM - Música - Discos - Singles Vinilo - Otros estilos - EN VENTA DIRECTA - TodoColeccion
