What is the Andy Williams "disco story" ?

Did Andy go back into the studio in 1979 to redo his (last big) hit, LOVE STORY (WHERE DO I BEGIN), from 1971 ?? (#9 in Billboard 2/27/71) .
Or did Bob Esty just reapply the old available vocals ??

Was just the one song done ??? Is this 12" the only result?






...........and why just the one ?? Did the session not go well?

Was it ever released as part of an album ??? And if so what's the rest of it like ???





What prompted the need to update this all but forgotten chestnut???

I don't know the Andy Williams disco story .. but I imagine it's mercifully short .. wasn't this one of the tunes that killed disco stone dead? .. isn't this simply the sound of fat-cat record executives jumping on a decaying band-waggon? .. small wonder the response to this thread has been muted .. is there an Andy Williams fan site somewhere you could ask? ( .. even they must be embarrassed by this camp old nonsense .. )

Remicks, I don't think Andy did any more DISCO records per say, but his DISCO interpretation of "LOVE STORY" is spectacular.

There were so many musical arenas that disco reached .... and that was so much an element of the fun of it ....

This one , it helps if you're a fan of the timpani ! baum - baum !
