Default Greatest percussion breaks in disco trax

My favourite, although perhaps not formally categorised as disco, would have to be the break in Gil Scott-Herons live version of 'The Bottle.' Really special.

.. sometimes the breaks were the best thing about a record .. in 1977 the Fantastic Four released a funky disco album on Westbound called "Got to have your love" .. the songs are ok .. but the amazing instrumental segments, featuring Dennis Coffey's fiery guitar work, are white hot .. djs would cut the vocal parts & simply play the breaks .. ( .. think "Wings of Fire" part 2 )

.. I also remember djs repeatedly looping the break in Chic's "Le Freak" .. over & over & over .. so the handclaps & the chant "now freak" became an almost endless mantra .. it drove the audiences crazy ..

The break in the 12" of Karen Young's "Hot Shot" does it for me.

The Break- Kat Mandu (especially the third part of the song)
Que Sera Mi Vida- Gibson Brothers

there's many more...

Besides my 1st immediate thought("Turn the Beat Around") there was a
12" of Barbara Pennington called "You Are The Music Within Me" that was
not as well known as "24 hours A Day" but had some amazing percussion breaks that would stir things up.And Double Exposure's "10 Percent" had
breaks that would give me goosebumps.

Also, not much of a break, per se, but I love the drums in Silvetti's "Spring Rain". That part just before the start of each "verse" where the drums are kinda flanged and delayed and panned hard left and right. I wish they would've done a traditional break with that effect.

How about the percussion breaks on "Mr. Big Shot" by the Simon Orchestra; they are totally out of control, lengthy, and with almost no comparison.
