Anyone familiar with the song

?

Yesterday I played the Amanda Lear cover which is on her album

and I realised how much I like this song. In fact I always loved this little Disco novel. This song is really indestructible! The tune itself, the shivering tale of the showgirl and the bad boy! It's a soap in a Disco bath!

BTW, Amanda's version is really cool!

So is the Discofied Barry Manilow!

I'm not so crazy about the PWL take but it's not bad!

Quite a treat that Amanda show. Two more versions from the 70's: A very good one by Dame Shirley Bassey, found on the b-side of SOME pressings of "This Is My Life/La Vita" 12", and a perfectly okay job by French cabaret legend Line Renaud, apparently available only as a 7".

I LOVE Amanda's Version..What's so funny is Barry sounds more like a woman the Amanda does
