I bought Number 1 but didn't like Vol 2 enough to spend money on it. Strut has a new Vol 3? I thought Strut went out of business?

I think Strut went into voluntary liquidation, but it looks like they are back - which is good new as Strut put out some very good re-issues the first time around.

The new Disco not disco CD is listed on Amazon-U.S. | Amazon-U.K. as forthcoming release.

According to Strut Records

Strut website coming beginning of 2008!

Upcoming releases: Disco Not Disco - Funky Nassau - Grandmaster Flash

We'll have to wait and see if it comes out and if they are back in business (and can stay in business).

I'm glad they're back. They've had some really nice compilations out. I wish they'd put out another volume of Block Party Breaks.

I listened to Disco Not Disco Vol 3, and the tracks are okay. I'm not really into that type of dance music style from the early 80s. Post-apocalyptic Disco music, I'd say. Something that would fit in a Mad Max movie! :)

Yeah some say Contort Yourself has been used and reused to the point of exhaustion, i really dont think so. can it really be done too many times? definitely worth having in the collection this one.

The mention of Gang of Four made me think of "At Home He's A Tourist" which has the Chic / Dance Dance Dance culled bass line and is quite angular and jagged elsewhere; killer song. All these modern discopunk groups owe everything to GOF.
