| Nervous Disco Classics has just released the four John Davis & The Monster Orchestra in digital format (mp3 download) !!!, we might miss the glossy photos, liner notes, back covers, but we'd better get used to, since this method is easier for record companies in terms of logistics, distribution, packing and shipping costs, and the tracks are just few clicks away. Up jumped the devil Ain't that enough for you The monster strikes again Night & Day by the way they also released the Gary's Gang first album !!! It seems they own the whole SAM Records catalog, since they had already launched Sam Records Classics Vols 1 and 2. Enjoy

| What's the quality like? I remember when West End records started offering their music as digital downloads. Unfortunately, when you listened to them, I'd say about 70 to 80% of the tracks were taken from vinyl sources rather than remastered material. I'm concerned that Sam/Nervous might pull the same stunt. Are they also offering the 12" mixes? Disco Funk |

| I downloaded all 3 of the LPs and the sound quality on the song "Ain't That Enough For You" is especially horrible. It is obviously taken from vinyl. There is surface noise through out the entire track, especially in the intro. I am surprised they couldn't have found a cleaner vinyl copy to take it from. The rest of the LP's sound pretty good, but I am sure they were all vinyl transfers. The LP mixes to my knowledge were the same as the 12" releases.

| That's too bad they're using vinyl sources. I'm not going to bother downloading any of the albums, since I've already got them on vinyl. The 12" mixes on the most part were the same as the LP except for: I Can't Stop I Get A Kick Ain't That Enough For You (this was a 6 minute mix on the original LP release, then the 9 min 12" mix was put onto later pressings of the LP) Disco Funk |
