Gidee Up a GoGo AD VISSER OMG, was that a hit over there? Ad Visser is the ex-presenter of Dutch Television Chartshow "Avro's Toppop".
The others don't really ring a bell.

You bet I remember!

Call this a coincidence but some of these hits appear in my last mix.

For those of you who want to have a peek try here:

........................... Link to the mix .............................

And for more than half of them, I've finished their digitalizing not long ago.

Canadian Tire,

I've started listening to your mixes, and the link too. I'm a big fan of the art of mixing, because it is an art if done properly. I used to experiment with all the 12" back then with my SLB turntables. I practiced hard until I got all the mixing perfect. By perfect I mean just getting the right timing, starting to mix the song even before the mixing part. Also, incorporating the acapella of a song I'm going play next with the song playing as a teaser.

The best mix from then was flashdance what a feeling followed by guilty. Try it as soon as the mixing part of what a feeling starts, and bring in guilty from the very beginning. The mix is 1' 28".

I'll listen to some more of your mixes and I'll tell you my best ones.

Marcus,

YOU'RE A VERY TALENTED MIXER! IT'S IN YOU! You have an 'ear' for mixing. My favorite from the link is easy love try it out.

Why don't you take hard times and mix it with dub/inst don't you want me human league?

Why don't you try the album version of time after time cindy lauper with the entire inst of fascinated company B in the background to make it danceable?

let the music play dub and stand back radio edit stevie nicks?

What an interesting & under-rated track that was. Very in the style of Yello I always thought.

OH YES, OH NO, OH YES OH NO . . . of course! KOTO is my alltime favorite italo disco. This type of music had some hits played on CKOI especially with Denis Proulx aux tables tournantes avec Maritι au Party every night on weekdays.
I recall calling Denis to suggest him to try mixing a new song "Blue Monday" with "Our love" from Donna. What a rush to hear this suggested mix exactly as expected on the next evening on radio.

There are 4-5 titles above in your list that I am not familiar with, maybe listening would help ;-)

Great job! thanks for sharing your music experience with us, I love NewWave music coco, this is sooo IN especially when it was introduced to the Montreal dance scene in the early 80's by Rob Ouimet @ the LimeLight. Those interested, I have a recent 18minutes interview from Robert Ouimet in his dj years, just ask and I'll post.

Great memories, Eve - Take a little chance wow... thanks for reminding !

Can you confirm some titles pleeease . . . like . .
the next song after Olivia's Twist of fate @ 4:45
the next song after Living in a plastic age @ 26:05

Sounds like a Bobby O production but not one I know.

Right after Twist of Fate: Stranded from Elaine Charles - a very nice unknown production.

After living in a plastic age, there is: Iron for the Iron from The Planets.

Gee, you have no idea how much I wanted that song until I found it by a pure chance..

Wait a minute, these mix ideas are copyrighted by you!

More seriously, It sounds like you've gotta post a few practical examples of your stuff.

When it comes to mixing realizations, I think that only the originator can perform as good as it should be.

(Take a little chance)
The part of the song where she speaks over the phone is memorable. She speaks English as bad as I do but I got to forgive her because she's trying so hard.

(Rob Ouimet @ the LimeLight)
Go figure why but I've got to buy a few used 12 inches stamped to be the property of the Limelight discotheque...
It's like having a piece of collection.

And Yes, I'd like to hear about what Mr. Ouimet has to say about the good old days.

BTW,

You guys got to help me.

I've posted a thread in the "song identify" section and no one seems to have a clue of what it is.
