Disco 2008 !

I was in contact with Ian Levine this week and he played me some unfinished versions of things he's working on in the studio right now - a follow up to the new "Northern Soul 2007" album to be titled......... yep, you guessed it !
"DISCO 2007" !
All new songs, with some new names and some more familiar ones.
He's particularly excited about DIANNE KEANE who he says looks and sounds like DIANA ROSS!

Interesting! I am helping some guys at the moment to create a new Disco track, as technical adviser. It is in the 'remix' stage and sounds like a sort of mixture of Gino Soccio and Britfunk. (It's not shabby either ). Are we seeing the revival of proper Disco?

Lets hope so Headlamp, although lets face it it never really went away... recent tracks like the Ron Hall and William 'Smoke' Howard sides , the unreleased remix of Ebony Alleynes 'Caught Me Off Guard' and a track doing the rounds at the moment called 'The Cure And The Cause'.....all heavily Disco influenced. The interesting thing to me is that they all have a heavy Philly/Salsoul influence but we all know there more to Disco than that !

Ian hinted that they may be a new track from someone he's not worked with for a while but has very successfully previously !

Gosh Simonella good friend, .... if you weren't seeking comment ... why did you post this within the discussions forums ..... there's a specific section for just plugging stuff ....

But since it is here on a "talk about it" board ....here's one other thought ... (no charge) ..... I wonder if Ian shouldn't consider naming this project "DISCO 2008"
