Looking at the list of artists involved, quite surprised to see Steve Brookstein on the list, whom UK readers will recognise as the first X-Factor winner in 2004; he had one number one single immediately afterwards and then plunged into obscurity!

I think the album shows a few distinct Disco styles and influences as you say Darren, from the mid 70's through 'til later.

'What Make A Man A man' is a particular style of Disco, not so much the thump thump style...and its causing a stir at the moment.

As for Steve Brookstein.. Ian's done a few things with him and worked with him BEFORE X-Factor on the infamous "Four Vandals" 45 but hand on heart I can say this is the best vocal I've heard him do to date ! It has real Luther Vandross qualities, but with a real uniqueness.

Has anyone heard the new Hazell dean track "Trade him in for a newer model" produced by Ian Levine? What's the verdict? I like it. It's off his new compilation called "Disco 2008", due for release next month.
