First of all its been a while since ive visited what with work etc.
This is mainly for melbourne australia people who danced away in the late 70s early 80s.
I am in the process of writing a book about the disco scene in this time period in melb.but as we get older the old memory is not the same so i need help.
Can people help me naming some of the discos around this time and if possible have pics of some melb discos.
My list at the moment is about 60 but i know im missing some.
does anyone remember sylvesters or menzies(both in the cbd)
What about the name of the disco at the old sante fa hotel in the city or the one that was run by playboy(the old suzannes basement)
My first disco was called crystals(not the crystal t's)in caulfield

I can't actually help but I will give you a bump.

As a Melbourne person I would be interested to hear about the "Disco" scene in Melbourne during the classic Disco period. I was just a bit too young to experience it first hand and have always wondered how Disco fared during the time most remembered in Aus for Skyhooks/Cold Chisel and Australian Crawl.
