Default Disco from beyond the iron curtain

While on holiday in Hungary recently I bought two disco-styled LPs by a woman named Judith, on the official state record company of the communist period. They're, eh, competent enough with a couple of good tracks but generally stuck with a rather MOR Rock way of doing disco if you know what I mean.

Still, it piqued my interest in the disco recordings made inside the soviet power sphere in the seventies and eighties. I know the Polish, for instance, made some great italo-correlated electronic disco under the genre name disco polo, but I'm sure there must be stuff from other countries as well.

Any Yugoslav, Czech, possibly even East German disco you know of? What are your favourite disco tracks from the east block?

BTW, I think your thread is better off here, in the Disco 70/80 subforum.

The Neoton Familia from Hungary had their albums realesed in the west, though the best thing about them may have been the outré artwork of the albums. But if you want 70's/early 80's disco stuff from beyond the iron curtain that's actually good , check out the Latvian synth group Zodiac, for moody burbling space disco that glows in the dark, with sinister green light. Avoid the "Music From Movies" lp as it's not dance oriented. The fab new Disco Deutschland Disco comp contains an exquisite East German track too. Alla Pugatsova from Moscow did a disco lp or two but those are absolutely unlistenable, not to mention undanceable. But she tried, the poor thing.
