| Another nice thing about it is that it's in stereo. The LP mix (which I think is the same as the 7") is mono. Disco Funk |

| Damn right! It is a nice & mellow version. The flute intro is “just enough”. That woman also has that slight hoarse voice that puts me in a melancholic mood. You can listen to excerpts here: Click here to listen Lotta-Love---12-Inch-version ->Does that meet the copyright rules (less than 30 seconds excerpts)? But no offense to Disco Funk, the long version owned by a good friend of mine is in full stereo… - Marcus |

| How long is the 12" Disco Mix? Does anyone know if it appears on any CD's? I'd love to get my hands on a copy of this mix

| It’s not a very long 12” (4’19”). Beside the instrumental intro, the song remains mostly identical to the original 7”. Nicolette Larson - Lotta Love By the way, she is (was) a nice looking person… |

| Jim Burgess is credited with the 12" promo remix, which I think enhances the beat very nicely...sadly Nicolette died in 1997 at the age of 45 of some type of cancer.

| So Mark, do you recall if you liked the "What Is Hip?" CD, particularly the Nicollette track? Mmmmmm, the Jim Burgess remix of "Lotta Love" has always been one of my favorites. I'm soooo glad Robbie Leslie played it at the "Remember the Party Encore" event in 2004. That's the most recent time I've heard the song played in a club. |

| Hey Keefe, I don't remember if I listened to the whole thing or just a couple tracks I was interested in!!! Sorta like your NEW RELEASE TUESDAY shopping expeditions!!! l have to pull it out and give it another spin. I was just curious because I rather liked the "soft rock" stuff and this cd was packed with those tunes. Keefe, you were the first person who ever mentioned this mix to me--I never knew that it even existed. I've looked in the Nicolette Larson section at Ameoba every week for several years now hoping they might have this promo 12"--but I've never seen it. I do have it on the Remember The Party cds and Svendy put it on a tape for me!!!

Good luck with your search for the twelve! I think I remember seeing it pass through Aloha a few times BITD. So, it's rare but not impossibly rare. You know, I can't remember how I first found out about the remix. Seems to me that Michael Garrett used to spin it on Disco Saturday nights when he did his sets on K-101. I don't think I first heard it at Troc. I do remember that I owned it the same time the Doobie Brothers twelve of "What A Fool Believes" came out. Funny one was commercial and the other wasn't when both were pretty popular radio cuts. |

I've never saw this singer in motion before. I know that we are talking from a totally different musical range and time lapse but I find that Eddie Brickle has some resemblance with her. YouTube - Eddie Brickell and the New Bohemians - What I Am Does she moves like her or does she only has some of her mimics? I can't really tell. |

| Mark, I checked and guess what? I found the promo twelve at Aloha when it first opened. Remember I told you Rick and Donald had bought several huge DJ collections. To get people into the store, they were selling TREASURES for CHEAP prices. Can you believe I only paid ONE DOLLAR for the twelve? Plus it was in mint condition!!! |

| I just found out with surprise that Nicolette Larson did background vocals on "Weird Al" Yankovic "Even Worse" 1988 album... ...small world... |

| FYI-"Lotta Love" was written by Neil Young.Nicolette sang background for Young on several LPs(possibly "Long May You Run"?)-when the two would harmonize it was sweet bliss(compare Emmylou Harris with Gram Parsons)This is one of those songs that if I had ever heard it on the dance floor,it would've reduced me to tears. Thanks for a great thread Miss Dayna!
