| I'd love to hear a little background info on the making of "You Stepped Into My Life" and "Mind Up Tonight." Also, how did she meet up with Paul Lawrence (producer). Thanks.

| Hi Dayna, I'd like to know how she felt about the disco era and how did it impact her?

| I never really followed Melba Moore's career, but I saw her on the TV series Hotel and she sang her hit "Read these lips" anf fell in love with that song and went and bought it the next day.

| When we saw Melba last year at the Empire Plush Room in San Francisco, she mentioned something about some upcoming hip surgery (if I recall correctly). If that was correct, how's she recovering? Well, I hope! Will we see her touring again soon? Thanks for letting us have the opportunity to submit questions, Dayna! |

| Dayna: Great Linda Clifford interview. So I know this one will be good too. Two questions for Ms. Moore: 1. Did she fear that doing disco would compromise her Broadway career, especially after winning a Tony? 2. After her painful first marriage (which she talks about in her one-woman show) did Moore ever reconcile with Clifton Davis? They also had a variety TV show together in 1972. Sort of the black Sonny & Cher. They both seemed to have been drawn to the gospel arena since then. So I wonder if they are in contact with each other. And if maybe he's still the love of her life. (I know I'm getting Rona Barrett on you here. But enquiring minds want to know.) And please tell her to perform live in Seattle sometime soon! Thanks. --Kell

| Thanks for doing this! You probably have this question prepared already, but just to put it out there anyway: Out of all the notable producers she's worked with (Gene McDaniels, Van McCoy, McFadden & Whitehead, Kashif and so on..), was there one or a few of them that she especially enjoyed working with? Also, I wonder how did her collaboration with Moroder associate Pete Bellotte on her "Burn" LP come about? It's one which doesn't seem to be mentioned much and strikes me as an interesting (albeit brief) shift in sound from her previous album.. Thanks again! |

| This is going to be great! Here's a couple, Several of her peers has thrown their hats back in the ring, and released new R&B LPs (Stephanie Mills, Teena Marie, Freddie Jackson, etc.) and while not being that well accepted by the "young" audience, were all very well done solid releases, has she given any thought to doing new material? If So, any chance of collaborating with the old Hush Production members? (Kashif, Paul Laurence, Freddie Jackson, etc) and any info on her years with Hush Productions would be of interest also!
