Default Need to act my age?

HELLO BOARD......Does anyone here over 30 still go clubbing? I am uh-hum, closer to 50 than 40 and i still love to dance. Yes, sometimes I hear the Disco tunes but i still like todays dance sound. I have alot of younger friends and I can out party most of them. I still run up to the DJ's (Like I did in the Disco days) and ask who sings the new jam. Everyone says i look like I'm in my mid 30's so no one really blinks their eyes when I'm on the dance floor "getting down". Still love the Loud Music and Colored lights on some weekends. Oh yeah, and the beer

Yep, almost 44 and still clubbin'!! That is: cool clubs where they mix house and Disco/Soul/Funk and where the public is a good melting pot of different ages.

There are quite a few in Belgium and Germany and there's a good vibe all over the place!

So, go out and enjoy yourself to the maxx!

last weekend i went to a little club called "soul club" here in Barcelona, with an even more little dancefloor. They use to play 60 funk, soul and some brazilian sounds....all very classic (which is good, but i'd prefer to hear somethin like disco or late funk).....
well, there are a lot of tourist and young people from 20 to 30 (well i'm 19 hehehe) but also there was a dude that looked like he had more than 50 for sure and he was so cool really gettin down! i think nobody could see it, nobody but me .....

so keep goin!!! keep dancing!!!

It's the cure to all that ales you. It's the miracle medicine. And anybody....and I mean ANYBODY who is in L.A, even for a short while has to look me up. I know this city like no other and would be happy to help anyone any way I could to better enjoy their stay here. From dance spots to restaraunts to record hunting I got you covered. Check out some old people partying down. WWW.BACKTODISCO.COM Go to photos. USE IT OR LOSE IT!!!!!!!!!!

Well, this is what happened to me, the moment I began to look around the club scene and the majority of those present looked like they could be my offspring , I knew it was time to hang up the dancing shoes.

In my case I was fortunate to find until the mid 90’s a 30/40 something club with people that still party at this age, but towards the late 90’s, after this private club closed, all that was left were clubs that catered exclusively to a much to younger crowd (like it has always been)

For the last 2 or 3 years now there is a local “ nostalgia” club that --- according to pictures and what I read and hear --- still rocks on Saturday nights with a forty something yester-year clientele, but I’m yet to pay a visit, somehow I just can’t get motivated any longer like I used to, who knows, maybe tonight ..

You need to come with me! :) LOL! I didn't club when I was younger because it did not appeal to me. I am in my 40's now and fortunately for me there are a lot of clubs in the DC area that cater to the over 40 crowd. I am often the youngest one on the floor. Every night of the week, there are several places that I know where I can go to hustle, bop, or do the official dance of Washington, DC which is called "hand dancing". It is similar to West Coast Swing (and other forms depending on location) but it is basically a 6 count dance.

Yeah, I feel like I need to act my age, alright.... :0
