| Yes, yes. . I used to DJ along time ago in my hometown, playing to nighclubs, parties, and social events. Exciting, fun. . .and tiresome. In those days piles of vinyl were HEAVY!! Which makes today's capabilities for enjoying music that much more exciting. Downloads, music sharing, Ipods, Mp3s, Youtube, and even best hits from the major disco stars have been assembled in either original remastered cds, collections, anthology, and extended remixes! What could be better than this? Back in the day, you had to patiently wait for Billboard magazine to expose the latest and greatest rising dance material, but now it's all here at the tip of your fingers. Don't shelve it away, make it play, in entirely new formats! I can't begin to tell you how I use Media Player as my own personal mixer! So, I actually created four seperate Listmania lists on amazon.com called DISCO PICKS!, DISCO Picks II, DISCO Picks III, and finally, DISCO Picks IV. Have fun, and feel free to join my music interest group with web address underneath my personal photo. Thanks, Robert Amazon.com: "DISCO PICKS!"

| I know this is not going to make me popular, but France Joli "Come To Me" is actually my response to the question, "what disco song made a huge hit that you hate?" Sorry bout that.

| Good to see that "54" soundtrack on your list. I highly recommend it to everyone, especially those wanting there first true taste of disco. Whoever was in charge of putting that compilation together must of had an appreciation for the songs and the way we heard them back then. Now there are some glaring ommisions. No Chic? And yes it's popular but what about the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack?

I believe Andy Hernandez of Dr.Buzzard /Kid Creole fame was the person who chose the material.

| Now there are some glaring ommisions. No Chic? And yes it's popular but what about the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack? Please note I have four DISCO PICKS listmania lists submitted to Amazon, and I believe SNF is on DISCO PICK IV. Check below my listmanis author picture for my homepage. And Chic, I promote with their collection along Sister Sledge, DISCO PICKS III, because it has "Mama Never Told Me" which is kind of hard to find. DISCO PICKS: Amazon.com: "DISCO PICKS!" DISCO PICKS II: Amazon.com: "DISCO Picks II"= DISCO PICKS III: Amazon.com: "DISCO Picks III" DISCO PICKS IV: Amazon.com: "DISCO Picks IV"

| I did find it hard to condense four lists with off the top hit disco music, and I though stopping at roman numeral four was a good lucky number because its one of my favorite Cerrone albums. CERRONE IV, I mean. Concerning Chic, "Dance, Dance, Dance" the full cut, or long version, is the only version for me. It's one of those songs, as bad as "Born To Be Alive", that needs to be heard in it's full version to really be appreciated. But I've always been a long version man, myself anyway, but some songs just cry for it.

ABBA, what is disco without Abba? And they came along way, Which reminds me of an 80s parody music video called Edelweiss, which blends the Sound Of Music syndrome with their S.O.S. song. It's great. I left Abba for the very last, because they did have great musical influence on disco, and stuck with it into the New Wave era, with their Super Trooper album. That album was great, and alot of my friends were astonished when I told them "Lay All Your Love On Me" was by Abba. Remember "The Visitors"? Awesome. That album was way cool. There are some artists I admit I omitted, but have generally posted many, many, many, music links to my yahoo group. This DISCO PICKS was really just a taste grabber. Don't you like Abba, I do, I give them credit. That instrumental riff for LAY ALL YOUR LOVE ON ME is worth the price of admission alone.

| ANOTHER deciding factor to include the group ABBA, was a suttle thing, and actually a thoughful vote. I couldnt let it out of my four lists. There is a very small blooper outake in Walt Disney's It's A Bugs Life where they show the animated characters during a regular type blooper reel like real actors go through, if the movie feature allows. This one blooper had a female ant talking to another male ant, and accidently referred the princess ant as PRINCESS ABBA, when she is in fact Princess Adda. She suddenly catches herself and starts laughing, "oh, oh, let me put on my disco shoes. . .ha, ha." Yea, Abba became my final choice. I wont change it either.
