“Everyone’s doing it – The Stones, Cher, Diana Ross, KISS. Know why they’re doin’ it? Because disco sells. Know why I’m doin’ it? Because disco sells. This song is going to move copies of the album, and when I sell albums, I make money. When I make money, you all make money, too. Right? And disco sells.”

Rod Stewart???

Evidently it's not true

Stewart's career has been hit-or-miss for a very long time. His finest hours were in 1971 and 1972 when he recorded Every Picture Tells A Story and Never A Dull Moment, two very good albums. After he moved to the U.S. from England in the mid-70's is when he truly left his music behind. Although 1976's A Night On The Town was a good album, by 1979 it was a wall-to-wall ambrosea of leopard prints, pink spandex and frizzy peroxide. Interesting how that blogger mentioned Foolish Behavior, his 1981 album. That album contained his '81 hit "Passion" but the album is more or less forgotten (it has never been reissued in the US).

That man should be strung up for offences against decent music!

He can't sing (at all) and even slaughtered one of my all time fave records AND took his weak cover version to number one in the UK.

ARGHHHHHHHHHH

The First Cut Is The Deepest is and always will be P P Arnold's signature tune.

Rod? NO! Go open a boutique for bad hair n big bums, but please never open your gob to sing again - that gravel in your throat does me head in.

Don't bother worrying marmite7 ......

...offences against DISCO are running since late 70's (in Brazil)...

I guess it happens the same around the world...

...Of course DISCO is a gay shit while ROCK has male integrity.
