 Why is it that Japanese releases have high resale values Why is it that Japanese releases (vinyl and CDs etc) have high resale values compared to most other releases from other countries?  |

| Re: Why is it that Japanese releases have high resale values As far as vinyl is concerned i assumed that they are pressed on high quality plastic, and another factor maybe the strength of the Yen against other currencies. |

| Re: Why is it that Japanese releases have high resale values Three reasons: 1 - They cost more to begin with. 2 - Albums are pressed on very high-quality vinyl and usually mastered quite well. 3 - CDs often have exclusive bonus tracks (added to encourage Japanese to buy domestic copies instead of cheaper imports). |
