I'm sure the name Uncle Louie would have made many a DJ skip past this record and 'Full Tilt Boogie' would've maybe sounded too close to some rockier titles BITD.

It's a catchy toon that reminds me a little of Le Pamplemousse - Get Your Boom Boom for some obscure reason and I haven't heard it now for quite a while.

I like Full Tilt Boogie, but my favorite is the breakbeat anthem I Like Funky Music (the 12" remix). Bad Motor Folk is a great groover too.

This album was produced by Walter Murphy of the Big Apple Band fame. The guys who were Uncle Louie also sang/played on one of the tracks from Murphy's 76 LP, the name of which escapes me (it had Flight 76).

I'd love to find a reasonably priced copy of the Uncle Louie LP sometime.. So far I have a couple of the 12'' singles.. Sky High/Everybody's Got One and Full Tilt Boogie (on the B-side of an Anita Ward "reissue")... love 'em all!
