Although there was a local DJ called Dave Carson, who was big on the local mobile scene and also played places like the (Royal) Pier. He along with Johnny Diamond and a select few others were the guys who got all the work from Avenue Artists, which was the biggest theatrical agency in Southampton. I believe some of them got to work on the Radio 1 roadshows, but I was always more into the local club scene than mobiles.

Must be the same guy. I saw his name listed as a contributer to an early UK disco chart as Dave Carton (Southampton). Thought he might be one of your spars from way back when.
