Don't forget "Go For It" from the FAST BREAK soundtrack (with Billy Preston).
Supposedly this was supposed to be released as the "A" side of the single, but instead the maudlin "With You I'm Born Again" became the "A" side .

I remember hearing a song called Love Fire (I think) that was produced around 1979/1980 by Bob Esty in that "Take Me Home" style he used at the time.

Syreeta along with Billy Preston did a great funky disco track in '81 called 'Just For You'.

"one on one" is a sweet morning music number, and "can't shake your love" was HUGE at the paradise garage! i've even read rumors that larry levan remixed it, but i don't think that's true.

you can hear both on my 24/7 internet radio station RadioioDisco:

Syreeta issued two albums in 1977 but they aren't disco.
«Go for it» is one of the many songs Syreeta and Preston have sung together. It's the 16th. 12" released by Motown (vocal and instrumental both 8:53). Their collaboration began in 1975 with «Fancy lady» (on the album "It's my pleasure" by Preston). It lasted until 1981. In August 1981 they released the album "Billy Preston & Syreeta" on Motown. Not bad but a collection of slow songs.
In April 1980 Motown issued the lp "Syreeta" with the excellent «Love fire», produced by Richard Perry, and «You bring out the love in me». The album features also ballads like «Here's my love» (the 1979 Linda Clifford's song) and covers like «Signed sealed delivered I'm yours» and «Blame it on the sun». This mostly disco album is one of her best.
The songs issued in 1981 on 12", «Quick slick», «Out the box», «Move it do it» and «Can't shake your love» (the latter is one of the last productions by Hal Davis) are excellent. They are on the same lp, "Set my love in motion".

Check out Syretta's background work for The Brothers Johnson on "I'll Be Good to You". Sexy, sassy, sweet.

The four songs released in 1980 and produced by Richard Perry were apparently meant for Diana Ross. After Baby it's Me in 1977, Perry began producing a second album for Ross but they only recorded «Baby I Love your Way» (surfaced in 1983) and music for four songs: «Let me Be The One», «He's Gone», «You Bring out the Love in Me» and «Love Fire» (no vocals). These songs are actually good and they would've been a strong addition to the current Diana Ross album. Strange that the '78 Ross album wasn't a strong project. Motown could have released even a 2-lp set with all the material they had but they didn't seem very confident in their material. And who thought that a full B-side with only old recordings was a good idea?
