I voted for Loleatta Holloway because she was very strong vocally and had many uptempo cuts on her albums.

Stephanie Mills who I would have had to write in is probably one of my favorite voices but she lost me in the mid 80's with some of her uptempo stuff like "Pilot Error" and "Put your body in it" and "Medicine song". I also dug her mid to late 80's ballads but that's not what the disco poll is about.
