THANKS ! Skoot!!
That SWING YOUR DADDY song was one of those ones back then that made you know the music was a changin' . Never saw a performance of it before or Jim Gilstrap beyond a photo ... so this is a pleasure of a treasure ....

Having Jim Gilstrap sitting at a piano seerms odd for this song though ....if there's a piano in there .....I sure don't hear it.

Odd too at the end when Jim gives up his singing as the song continues

Hey Videoskooter,

Maybe you or someone else can help. I have asked this before.

I can't see your vids. All I see is a white square with a blue Q (Quicktime) and a question mark in the middle.

I have this problem on other websites and cannot get an explanation.

I have quicktime viewer and it works with other vids/websites.

Can you, or anyone, please explain why I cannot see what you have posted?

Thanks to anybody and everybody.

It more than likely means that you don't have all of Quicktime properly installed. This would be especially true if you are running on Windows as Macs come with the full Quicktime install as default, but Windows do not. Best bet is to go to Apple - QuickTime and click on "Free Download" to download the complete package even if you think you may have it.

Hi Bernie,

While you were writing your post, that's what I was doing. And I have done this often.

I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Quicktime half a dozen times in the last couple of years.

I have also gone to preferences and made sure every type of file extension is available and match my high speed internet connection.

I feel it is some type of firewall setting, as it always takes more time for pages, with Quicktime videos' that I can't see, to load in.

It's real frustrating and when I mention it to people, they don't know what I am talking about. I have this problem on AOL too. And Quicktime has been of no help in explaning this.

I want to see the vids.

But thanks for your help and I am open to any other suggestions.

Needle,

Question: Could you see the vids before (when we placed the links)?

It could also be a question of your flash player. Be sure that you have installed Macromedia Flashplayer 8 (Also for free).

Let us know what happens!

Ahhhhh Videoskooter, Thank you.

I did have flash, and went to download it again.

The problem was Windows ServicePak II. I hate this security pak.

When it first came out 2 years ago, it wiped out my harddrive and operating system. I lost everything, including my external harddrives. I had to reformat and upload the whole operatings system again.

When I called Microsoft, they told me it was happening in approx. 10 percent of computers installing SP II. And while you have to have it installed and updated automatically, I could turn it off. Unfortunately it shutdown/firewalled certain flash media, specifically Quicktime Player.

When I just downloaded flash, it told me certain access was denied, which led me to think of SP II. So I went, and while it is off, I accessed flash availability, which was not picked. I still believe there is a cross wire somewhere.

In any case, now I do see them, and yes I could see them before when they were posted as links.

Thank you VS and Bernie. A long time problem is now solved.

And now, back to the videos
