i don't know offhand, but from the hints provided, i'm going to guess at Linda Clifford: A Long Winter Ahead(????) on Paramount records?????

nice try KELVY but thats not it,two albums followed this single although this song here scored on the r&b chart it was the title track of her second album when released as a single that really got this girl noticed!a big production deep soul ballad that made top 10 r&b in 74.this label is known to record collectors but maybee not a household name and maybee in the states is better known for the scandals of the labels owner, by this time the f.b.i were hot on his tail,i think he was sent to prison as for sure i can remember reading about a jail break[or attempted] involving a helicoptor at an atlanta jail !! soon after the label collapsed and this girl was about to be whisked away to DISCOLAND :D

now that you mentioned "Atlanta"...the actual song title does not register but i'm thinking Loleatta Holloway and the Aware label where she hit paydirt back in 1974 with the ballad "Cry To Me"(???????)

with well tidings and kind regards,

kelvy
