| My gift to myself for Christmas was the Billboard Charts that Giovanni offered to us a while back. I obtained them from a great guy named Mike in Illinois, who originally got them from Giovanni. Anyway...I thought it might be interesting to post from time to time the #1 Disco songs of the week, to sort of jog our memories of what we were listening to and dancing to back in tha day. The lists start in October, 1974 with Gloria Gaynor's "Never Can Say Goodbye" and go to the end of 1975 with Madonna's "Like A Virgin". What a great time for dance music! Technically, the charts from 1975 & 1976 for the first week of January were New York only. The national rankings didn't begin until mid-1976. Anyway, here's the list for the first week of January by year: 1975 "I'LL BE HOLDING ON" - Al Downing 1976 "MIGHTY HIGH/EVERYTHING IS LOVE"- Mighty Clouds Of Joy 1977 "DON'T LEAVE ME THIS WAY" - Thelma Houston 1978 "ONCE UPON A TIME" LP - Donna Summer 1979 "LE FREAK/I WANT YOUR LOVE/CHIC CHEER" - Chic 1980 "SECOND TIME AROUND/IN THE SOCKET"- Shalamar 1981 "CELEBRATION" - Kool & The Gang 1982 "YOU CAN/ FIRE IN MY HEART" - Madleen Kane 1983 "LIES/BEACH CULTURE" -Thompson Twins 1984 "SAY IT ISN'T SO " - Hall & Oates The list does sort of make your life flash before your eyes, doesn't it? _________________ Make My Feet Wanna Dance! | Hi Paul, Yes, definitely there is a 12" of "Lies". I've got it. I checked allmusic and there is a 5:22 version available on "Greatest Mixes: Best Of The Thompson Twins". If you are interested, I'll check the timing on the 12" this evening.

| Thanks Marky and Bernie. I'll probably settle for the cd. I wonder why they didn't put the full length 12" versions on cd?!
