Carol,

Most of your early recordings were composed by Sandy Wilbur--can you tell us something about him and how you two connected to record; The major exception from that 1st LP was "Mercy"--written by the very estimable Pete Bellotte (Donna Summer songs for days!!!) & someone just credited as Levay---(according to the label): I'm assuming it was Silvester Levay (Silver Convention tunes, among many others)---how did you get to record that one first??? Or were you first??? Anyway YOU had the HIT, baby!!!

Carol,

This is so great that you are taking time out to speak with us and giving us this nice glimpse into your musical career. Thanks for making everyone's day! If you would be so kind, you may want to backtrack and go back a few posts as I think there were a few questions from your fans that you may have missed. Thank you again.

Everyone,

The next two hours should be prime time as most time zones will be able to participate. Remember that Carol is in the UK so she is six hours ahead so get your questions in to Carol Jiani before it's too late.

Judy Cheeks I think did the Original in 1980 (B side the haunting Prophetic "Come And Take This Love Away") on Ariola.

Thank you for the most valuable quote !!!!
Carol,

The reason this was asked by remicks has to do with a sort of revisionist thinking that disco totally died at the end of 1979. That was it. No more disco. We argue about this here all the time. I just remember the "sound" changing somewhat--but we still danced and continued thinking of it as "disco"--but others (the younger ones I think) like to say "No, that was NOT DISCO it was Hi-NRG":lol::lol:....well, it did become that later--but in 1981, I still called it "disco"---glad you felt the same way.

Carol,
Did you sing other songs before Hit n Run Lover and the album for Montreal? Did you also record while in your homeland of Nigeria? This also leads me to ask, what other languages besides English do you speak and have sung in.
