| Well, I took you up on it Johan. I went to her site and read her bio. Given what she wrote, I emailed her and wished her all the best. I decided not to ask her about the evils of sex

| One thing that shocked me was when I viewed the video for (You Made A Pretty Mess of My Dress) was how flat chested she was, really flat. |

| Canadianaire~ I don't mean to keep this thing going about Vanity. But, you mentioned that you should look at the cover of the lp to see that her attire was quite skintight. Well, haven't you heard of airbrushing? You think all those women on lp covers are just naturally beautiful without a wrinkle or flaw one? C'mon!!!!! If the record department has taken the time to hire and market these people, then they are going to make them appeal to a broad/mass market. Do you honestly think they would put a photo on the cover of a woman with a bulge in her shorts? Probably not, unless they decided to appeal to a market of trannies and the people who love them. I DON"T think there's much of a market for that. It was just a short clip on HBO, and after reading about her being a born again Christian I seriously doubt she has slipped into the porno business. This was a fun thread while it lasted, tho! |

| Nope, Vanity didn't actually write "Nasty Girl" or any of the other songs she's credited with on their album. All of those songs were actually written by Prince alone except for the ones that credit a co-writer like Terry Lewis or Jesse Johnson of The Time. Prince probably thought it was a cool idea to credit the girls in the group with the songs rather than putting his name on the project at all. |

But yeah, regardless of what the credits say, you don't have to hear much of the Vanity 6 album to figure out that it's really a Prince record through and through. |

| Almost all the records from that period were made by 1 band: Prince + The Time. Ol' Nelson had written so many stuff and recorded so many jams that he hardly could release all of it under the Prince moniker. Of course...a few years later the fights broke out on the subject of who has written what and who's song/idea it all was. Great example is the Time album "Pandemonium" which features the group playing songs that were already available on bootlegs years before and then were sung by the purple man. Some of those early jams/prototypes/demos were also officially released on the "Crystal Ball" CD-set. And, Graham, Vanity 6 was originally called Vagina 6 but Warner Brothers didn't like that name.... |

| I thought the "6" referred to the total breast count. The sleeve even spells that out for you ("3x2=6") |

| But I'm going to repeat something here that I've written before: Prince has a strange way to release songs. I give you 1 example: "We Can Funk" that is featured on the "Graffiti Bridge" soundtrack. It is done by George Clinton and it's a very weak track. Try to get a copy of the original version by Prince where it's a breathtaking organ led R&B masterpiece. I never understood why he didn't use this 1 for the OST. But for the latest news on his purpleness' behaviour go to: Prince Fans United And read all about his affection for his fans. Prince, you must be ashamed! Just a quote: PRINCE FANS FIGHT BACK AGAINST ATTACKS In an extraordinary, but not unfamiliar move, the rock legend Prince is using an army of lawyers to launch attacks on his own fans. Several of the largest web communities dedicated to the artist have received notices to cease and desist all use of photographs, images, lyrics, album covers and anything linked to Prince's likeness. It is our belief that these threats are not made in an attempt to enforce valid copyright as Prince alleges in his threats, rather we believe they are attempts to stifle all critical commentary about Prince. We strongly believe that such actions are in violation of the freedom of speech and should not be allowed. Prince claims that fansites are not allowed to present any artwork with Prince's likeness, to the extreme that he has demanded removal of fan's own photographs of their Prince inspired tattoos and their vehicles displaying Prince inspired license plates. Prince's representatives have requested that the fansites provide them with "substantive details of the means by which you [the fansites] propose to compensate our clients [Paisley Park Enterprises, NPG Records and Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG)] for damages..."
