| As written in my introduction, my all time favourite Disco band is Lime. I know pretty much all of their releases under the Lime name. But there are others as well. In the mid 80's they released at least three 12" under the name 'A slice of Lime'. Vocals by Dennis & Denise LePage. I only found these on Prism Records (USA) and I'm wondering if these were Prism original or if they were released in Canada on Unidisc or even Matra? Have they recorded more songs under the name 'A slice of Lime'? On one cover there is a decal announcing an album, have never seen it? The first record Dennis made was I think Mother F - Hot Wax. There is another song I think belongs to Mother F, Welcome aboard. Not real floorfillers, but hey, if you collect... On a Kat Mandu compilation CD 'Welcome Aboard' is said to belong to Kat Mandu...??? Voggue, Dancing the night away is also produced/written by Dennis. What else did he do in the early '80's? With all this knowledge here... Did they perform live? Henri [ This Message was edited by: Henri on 2001-12-20 02:51 ] |

| I once came across several 70s Quebec pop singles in a thrift store, with Denis Lepage listed on the credits... but this music is a far cry from disco, so I wasn't too interested. BTW, the first version of "Hot Wax" was recorded under his own name on Celsius in 1979. Bernie has this one in the vault. So there are *three* versions of "Hot Wax" -- the Katmandu version, the Mother (F) version, and Denis' original. Anyway, he's been around since long before he dreamed up Lime. |

| Well, Lime did do some catchy stuff ...but those VOCALS!!!! Was there really a Denise LePage??? Because it sure sounds like a man's bad falsetto. I guess they were a husband/wife team, but I wonder if Denis didn't sing both parts. Hey, Boodikka says Noel was the Sparks guy with the Hitler mustache! Anyway, IMO, the vocals on Lime recordings illustrate perfectly the new tagline "Who Let The Dogs Out": screechy, strident, howling (not that there's anything wrong with that). Hey, to each his own...that's Van's Philosophy

it was produced by them(very good job indeed, they must have learned something of GM when he did that "#1 song in heaven") i've seen a video with her too,as wel as 3 diffrent photos on the lp/12"/7"(all from diff countries) and Lime were husband&wife team, and i've seen them perfoming live too if you don't have the DLP remix of Katmandu- the Break get one!!!! it's insane!!the rekid spins backwards for a minute&a half or so,, first one that did so in dance music.(Throbing Gristle were the first i'm aware, of back in 78 {Rafters lp).You can hear it in a lot of Ron Hardy's sets too(no wonder so many early house producers used that trick) e,r |

| Yes, there was and is a Denis and Denise LePage. I saw them perform live in San Diego back in the 80's at a disco dance bar named "Dillons" on University Boulevard.... |
