Hi Videoskooter,

there would be quite a few Marcia Hines tracks out there you might enjoy. She was a very successful artist in Australia in the late 70's early 80's. I think my favourite track would be "You". I hope it will appear on "youtube" sometime in the future.

Marcia Hines has lived and worked in Australia for many years. I think she came to Oz as a pregnant 16 year old to perform in the musical "Hair". She liked it here and stayed. At present she is the "nice" judge on Australian Idol and has just released a new album (sorry, CD) called "Discotheque" in which she covers several classic Disco tunes.

I love this Marcia Hines track-- definitely played at Trocadero in SF; Dusty Springfield also recorded "Your Love Still Brings Me To My Knees" and it's good as well...doesn't Marcia sound like Stephanie Mills on this??? I made a tape of a bunch of female divas from this early Eighties era and several others had very Stephanie Mills sounding vocals. She was HOT then. After listening several times to my tape--I titled it "Attack Of The Stephanie Mills Clones." Lovingly, of course. ;)

I can't recall who the others were, of the top o'me head, but maybe I'll recall later....
