Melanie has a new CD

I have been listening to a new CD released by Melanie. She was very popular in the 70's and has a son who is master on a guitar as backup and breathing new life into her music. She just released a new CD and 2 more are on the way of all new stuff.

Hi Alodar,

I know Melanie's records from the early seventies. She has a sweet voice. I didn't know she's still recording. Good to know that. Thanx for the info.

Yes, I attended her concert September 5th and it was awesome. Her son is now master at guitar and is breathing new life into her act. She will be in Holland in November and has just finished North Carolina and Nashville concerts. At the latter (Nashville), Crystal Gayle was in the audience and got up and joined her for a song and said she has been a fan since she was little.

Melanie said she has 2 more CD's that they are just finishing up of all new stuff too. I have a collection of 28 of her albums and CD's so she has been pretty active over the years. Getting 2 more CD's of all new stuff is gonna be cool!

Have any of you heard the LP/CD by Melanie named "Am I Real or What?" (1985)? That was her short entrance into disco. It was quite interesting and well done. If there was a place to put MP3's I would upload a sample. -Herm

Has anyone listened to this, I would be interested on your thoughts. I am skewed, but I wonder how others who have never heard her think of this song.
