| Beggar & Co were/are Kenny Wellington, David Baptiste and Breeze McKrieth founder and original members along with Bluey Of Incognito, Peter Hinds, Everton McCalla and Paul Tubbs Williams. As Beggar & Co they had National chart success with Somebody Help Me Out and Mule (Chant No 2) as well as collaborating with Spandau Ballet on Chant No 1. Light Of The World are probably best known for the album Round Trip also yielded a number of tracks that were either just inside or outside of the Top 40 icluding the tracks 'Time' and 'I'm So Happy' written by Wellington, Baptiste and McKrieth as well the classics 'London Town' and 'Petes Crusade'. Most of these musicians can be found on a multitude of recordings by other artists paticularly the horn players, Wellington and Baptiste. Bluey of course is the main man behind Incognito. Currently the founder members of the band are performing and recording under the name Beggar & Co and The Original Light Of The World. With Wellington, Baptiste, McKrieth,Hinds, McCalla and Bluey Maunick joined by people like Fayyaz Virji, Kevin Robinson of the Incognito family as well Orphy Robinson the vibraphone player. Material from both Beggar & Co and Light Of The World is also featured on a high number of gold records. Funkysoulbrotherontherun |
