Danceman, I've never seen it on CD; I have the vinyl version. I think the other one she did in '82 with Barry Gibb is on CD but not this one which is a shame 'cos this one is so much better than 'Heartbreaker' IMO.

I have seen a Greatest Hits of Change with Change Of Heart and loads more on Amazon.com. It would probably be cheaper than buying the import here. Because I love every track on the first album, I didn't buy it and am trying to transfer the album to CD

Oh yes toto, 'Glow of Love' by Change has got to be amongst my top 10 LPs of all-time; every track is a gem! I have seen that greatest hits CD in Beat'n'Rhythm in Tibb Street on import but surprisingly it wasn't alot more than UK release prices; however I didnt buy it in case all the Change LPs got re-issued on CD as I love them all really.

I'm not that into technology I'm afraid so I dont know how to transfer analogue to digital! I wish I did as it would save me alot of money.

This is SO weird. I just posted about Dionne doing dance music, and I was clubbing two nights ago and heard this ALMIGHTY remix of Dionne & The Spinner's "I Don't Need Another Love." I'm not sure who remixed it, the DJ told me it was just in a stack of records he pulled out. I had never heard it before. Not sure if it's bootleg or what.

However, when I went to a local under-21 club with my best friend, it was played there. All these punks were getting down to their stuff, and all of a sudden it started playing and this blue haired goth boi was like, "Who is THIS?!" and you could just hear the contempt in his voice. I was like, "Fool! That's Dionne Warwick! [I said it with obvious awe, accenting her name as if she was a Queen of some country or something] And she could sing circles around Pink!" (a remix of Pink's "Just Like a Pill" had just played) hehehehe.

I dunno, just seems kinda weird. <hums the Twilight Zone theme>

I've been plugging that record on this Board for ages now! :grin: Nobody else, until now, seems to have heard of it! I picked it up in the UK as a white label double 12-inch on Arista (8 mixes). It is in fact the first time that Dionne Warwick has worked with The Spinners since 1972, m'thinks. It was released around May of 2001.

Nice to see that someone else has come across this fantastic record!! :grin: :grin:
I think she should have had a monster summer 2001 hit with that one!! Looks like Arista blew it!

Hi Jazz,

After you plugged this a few times I searched around and found it. I wasn't that impressed but then I realized you had a DOUBLE 12" version, I was sent a SINGLE. I guess I got the so-so remixes because the record hasn't hit me yet. I can hear the potential but, as you say, I guess Arista just gave up on it. A shame, the Spinners and Dionne seem to work well together.

I've never heard this record--BUT, I've been looking for it, thanks to J.P's recommendation.

BUT, I just wanted to say that I like Xaphan3015's ATTITUDE....keep on promotin' the LEGENDS to the Pink fans NOT "AS IF" they WERE royalty--BUT because they ARE ROYALTY!!!
