The reissue contains 4 atrocious remixes from the 80s and 90s. Surprisingly, the worst offender of these is Edwards and Rodgers' own 1984 remix of "Lost In Music". This is so unbearable that you'll curse the day that the sampler was invented when you hear it. After struggling to sit through it once, I was ready to toss my stereo out the window.

Hey Graham,

I have to disagree with you on this one. The 3 other remixes included on this edition of WE ARE FAMILY are simply unforgivable and horrible! How anyone could replace Chic's perfect rhythm track for an annoying house rhythm? The remix you've mentioned, by Rogers and Edwards, is FAR better than the other 3. Otherwise, the 4 remixes are not up to the high stantards of the original tracks of this classic album (my favorite CHIC album with DIANA).

WE ARE FAMILY is a five star album in my black book.

Whatever you say the '84 remix (whichever one it was) that was released on 12" in the UK certainly hit the spot and proved just as great a dancer as the original. I had reservations at first, but the reaction on the floor was massive.

About "Lost in music", aren't the very Chic girls doing background in the chorus? It sounds so Chic-like. Maybe that's why it leads to confusion.
My compilation have no musician credits. Is there any mention in the vinyl cover?
