Yeap, those are nice, is interesting listening to the different versions, You know, I don't think I've ever seen any of the shows :-( they are from before my arrival

That Stefanie Power was some beaty Yummy Yummy

Never cared much for Chips, that show was a complete turn off for me, the same for the Love boat,:-?

My most remebered theme of mine was from "Hawaii five- O" , can't find any clips.:-?

Kojack was nice and Manix too, although the Clip doesn't have sound

wow, that 'Vegas' theme brings back memories, I used to watch that show, Robert Urich was a very good actor , one of my other faves of him was his "Spencer for Hire" series which didn't last long, and of course his "Lonesome dove" part.

If you listen to the Charo Love Boat performance, who do you think is on the backing track? To me, it definitely sounds like a Philly production. My bests are on a John Davis produced Salsoul Orchestra. The drum pattern sounds like Charles Collins who used that on You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine by Lou Rawls, When Love Is New by Arthur Prysock, and Everybody's Fool by Brenda & The Tabulations.

Update: After checking out her stuff on ebay, I can see that this cut indeed was a Salsoul production. The track was on Ole Ole, an album which was produced by John Davis.

I can see that that some of the themes are widening the boundaries of disco!

But what the hell , I you can dance to it, thats got to be ok.

UFO , 6 million dollar man, Thunderbirds, and some non disco tv themes
have been featured in my favourite souljazzfunkdiscoPODCAST

Other thems I could dance to.....(alone)

End theme to the MARTIAN CHRONICLES (stanley myers)

Theme to STARSKY & HUTCH TV series

A VIEW TO A KILL - (Bond Film --Was It Duran DuraN)?

CAR WASH Rose Royce - from the movie

2nd series theme to Space 1999

Nothing from Star Trek , but I think Enterprise NCC1701-D 's TEN FORWARD
lounge would make a great place to have a disco.
DATA would take on JT any day. (Space Fever Space Fe ver...)
I think i've just generated an idea for a new movie !!!!

No one's mentioned 'Makin It' by David Naughton, which I believe was from a TV show of the same name.

Yep! Makin It was a short lived disco tv sitcom on the ABC network. Song was also written by Perren/Fekarris who also wrote a lot of Gloria Gaynor, Peaches and Herb, The Raes, Sylvers stuff.....

Freddie Perren also produced some Tavares stuff and going back even further, he produced stuff at Motown, like the Hell Up In Harlem sountrack, and I believe the early Jackson 5 stuff.

I'm glad you brought this back up.

Here is Lidsville. It's "the land of Living Hats".

It was made by the same people who mad H. R. Pufnstuf and stars Butch Patrick who was Eddie Munster on The Munsters.

YouTube - Lidsville Theme

It turns disco-ey in the end of the opening(around 1min. 30sec.). It reminds me of American Generation by The Ritchie Family. That bubbly sound.

Issac Hayes' "Theme From 'The Men'" (1972) was a great proto-disco song.

Also, the 1980-83 version of the closing theme from soap The Edge Of Night.
